Heavy Towing Operator Expertly Recovers 6000 Pound Mini Excavator

Experience and Expertise Shine Through in Tough Heavy Towing Job

A Loudoun County homeowner’s renovation project went awry when the mini excavator he was operating dropped into a trench that he was digging. This would normally be quite a straightforward heavy towing recovery, one that Road Runner’s certified Heavy Duty Operators have done many times. However, this recovery would prove to be more difficult than the norm.

When the mini excavator dropped into the trench, it became trapped between the trench and a tree. The tree had already caused some minor damage to the rented mini excavator. Without the property extraction and recovery techniques, there was a high risk of causing further damage to the mini excavator.

Thankfully, the Road Runner team thrives under pressure. Travis, a certified Heavy Duty Tow Operator, was on the scene. He thoroughly assessed the situation and came up with a plan of action. Travis was able to lift the mini excavator from the boom and one of it’s tracks. Once lifted, he expertly manoeuvred the mini excavator out of the trench and onto flat ground without causing further damage to the expensive piece of machinery.

Once again, we see that with the right equipment and the right skills, no job is impossible.Great work out there, Travis! You made the whole team proud!
